Definition of a Lease:
A lease is a written agreement between a landlord & a tenant that allows the tenant to occupy, for business or personal needs, a space at a set rent and under certain conditions for a specified period of time. A lease is legally binding for both the landlord and tenant although most leases are for a one year period, the terms of the agreement may vary. Some leases are self-renewing, meaning if there is no notice given by either party by date specified in the lease, the agreement is automatically renewed.
